About Me: Xavier Rene Sanchez

I am Xavier Rene Sanchez, a keynote speaker, personal development coach, and fintech professional born and raised in San Antonio, Texas. I was born with Proximal Femoral Deficiency and Bilateral Fibular Hemimelia - meaning my arms end at the elbows and my legs are approximately half the typical length. However, I have never viewed my disability as a condition to be overcome; rather, it is the condition I was born into, built around, and ultimately built my life from.

Raised by an incredibly loving and disciplined single mother who never treated me like something that needed to be hidden, I was taught early on to take responsibility for my life and move through the world with my head held high. When people stared, I learned to practice a "quiet defiance," refusing to let anyone else's lack of understanding dictate my posture or my path.

Finding Control and Independence

Throughout my life, I have relentlessly pursued independence. In high school, I turned to calisthenics and bodybuilding - the first place where I found undeniable, measurable control over what my body was capable of enduring and achieving.

A major turning point occurred when I was 15 years old and attended a summer camp hosted by the Believe It Foundation. Being in an inclusive environment with both able-bodied and physically challenged kids taught me my greatest lesson: my limitations were never my disability, but rather my mindset about my disability. That experience eradicated my fear of what others thought and pushed me to take the lead in my own life.

That same drive for independence fueled my academic and professional journey. I earned my Bachelor of Business Administration in Cyber Security from UTSA, consistently making the Dean's List. In 2020, I achieved the ultimate physical freedom when the team at Cruising Kitchens built me "the spaceship" - a radically customized minivan that allowed me to drive entirely on my own. Armed with this independence, I rapidly accelerated my career in the fintech sector at Revolut, advancing to a Growth Account Executive where I managed high-value portfolios and engineered automated workflows. By 2022, through years of disciplined saving, I achieved another major milestone: purchasing my first home completely on my own.

My Impact and Mission

Today, my life is dedicated to giving back and sharing the lessons I have learned. I founded XS Impact International LLC, a personal development firm focused on inclusion advocacy and overcoming adversity. The name is intentionally pronounced "Excess Impact" because my core philosophy is that everything we do should be more than expected, more than enough, and more than what anyone said was possible.

Through my speaking engagements, I work to communicate core messages of equity, resilience, and taking control of your own narrative. I have also been incredibly proud to come full circle by serving as the Secretary of the Board for the Believe It Foundation, working to provide the next generation of children with the same life-changing, inclusive opportunities that once transformed my own life.

Surrounded by the support of my family and my fiancée, Jazmin, my story is proof that when you refuse to look down, the world eventually has to look up to see where you are going.
